🧭 Job Summary
The Museum Management & Curation Specialist will lead museum planning, collection management, exhibition design, interpretation and curation activities under the PMU for Punjab Tourism Rehabilitation & Revamping Projects. The role combines curatorial expertise with museum operations, visitor engagement and conservation coordination.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement museum curation & exhibition plans (permanent & temporary).
- Manage collections: accession, documentation, cataloguing, preventive conservation and storage.
- Prepare interpretive material, labels, catalogues and visitor information.
- Coordinate conservation and restoration with conservators and archaeologists.
- Design visitor flow, educational programmes and community outreach activities.
- Maintain collection databases and produce technical/curatorial reports.
- Support procurement/specifications for museum equipment and displays.
🔧 Skills & Competencies
- Strong curatorial and collections management experience.
- Knowledge of museum standards, preventive conservation and documentation.
- Experience with exhibition design and interpretation.
- Good report-writing, stakeholder coordination & project collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with museum database systems and digital cataloguing is an advantage.
